Argonaut confirmed the exit of co-chief creative officer (CCO) Rick Condos today (March 16).
The San Francisco-based agency under the Project Worldwide umbrella reportedly held a town hall today regarding his exit. Condos, who was an ECD at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners before joining Argonaut in 2013 shared the title of CCO with former partner Hunter Hindman.
Project Worldwide did not give a specific reason for Condos' termination, or whether Hindeman would assume chief creative duties outright with Condos' exit, but did provide a statement on behalf of the agency.
“As of today," the statement said, "Rick Condos is no longer an employee at San Francisco-based Argonaut. Argonaut, and its Auburn Hills, MI-based parent company Project Worldwide, have no further comment.”
Condos joins a growing list of male executives departing agencies which includes Joe Alexander, Ted Royer, Andrew Christou and Rick Dodds.
On the brand side, Nike has announced the exit of two of its top executives in the past 24 hours — brand president Trevor Edwards and Jayme Martin, vice president, general manager of global categories — amid reports of, what chief executive Mark Parker referred to as "behavior occurring within our organization that do not reflect our core values of inclusivity, respect, and empowerment.”
