360i today (April 9) announced the appointment of Piper Hickman as group creative director.
Together with group creative director Alex Shulhafer, the pair will lead creative for clients including Hanes and Champion, among others. Piper joined after an extensive seven-year freelance stint at companies including Wolf & Wilhelmine, VML,Havas Worldwide, The Barbarian Group, Untitled Worldwide, JWT, Ogilvy, TAXI, Y&R and McCann.
Prior to her freelance work, Piper climbed the ranks from copywriter to creative director at such shops as Spike/DDB, DDB New York, Saatchi & Saatchi and Mcgarrybowen.
Most recently, Piper lead creative ideation for Champion’s new brand campaign 'Dare To Be Champion', which signals a new direction for the sports apparel retailer. The documentary-style videos featured millennial creative hustlers in New York and LA, in social-ready anthems about individuality.
Hickman will report to chief creative officer Menno Kluin, who said: “I’m looking forward to working with Piper again. She has a forward-thinking mindset, but is trained with traditional conceptual skills, which is exactly what we look for here. As a team, she and Alex will ensure we continue to serve as trusted creative advisors to our clients, while developing and coaching our talent to create smart and innovative work.”

A believer in making advertising a viable career option for women, Piper has also appeared as a frequent panel member of financial empowerment series, 'She Works Hard for the Money.' She has also been a mentor to many first-time female creatives in the industry.
