McCann’s Bristol has offered a one month placement to Jade Delaney who transformed herself into the 'Fearless Girl' statue.
The 'Fearless Girl' statue which stares down US Wall Street’s famous “Charging Bull” was created by McCann and has generated a huge amount of media attention since it was installed.
Jade mimicked the pose of the fearless girl and painted her clothes, shoes and skin color into gold and waited outside McCann Bristol's office. She placed a plaque card below which read 'Know the power of women in leadership.'
Of why she came up with the stunt, she said: “There aren’t really any advertising jobs. They come up and then go the same day.
“I don’t know what role I want so I wanted a placement to try different roles, I need to find an agency that fits me – I can’t just rock up and say, ‘give me a job.’
“I was thinking of ways to get myself seen by people in advertising and I’d gone to an advertising unlocked event at McCann and they were talking about this campaign, the ‘Fearless Girl’ campaign, which they created.
Delaney studied advertising at the University of Gloucester after a course in Art Design and Mixed Media at Bristol School of Art.
