Republic of Media and The7stars have swept The Drum Digital Trading Awards 2018 and taking home 10 awards between them.
For its work with The Scottish Government, Republic of Media has won the Grand Prix, Best Video Campaign and Best Paid Social Media Campaign.
The campaign served to inform of the severe penalties people will face for sharing intimate images or video of someone without their permission.
Judge and commercial innovation director, Clear Channel UK, Cadi Jones said that the team made a huge impact with this campaign, despite a limited budget. “I was particularly impressed by their partnership approach with media owners to get buy-in to bend the normal rules on ad content to help to deliver this important message to the right audience,” said Jones. “They delivered spectacular results within the target audience. This ticked all the boxes for great idea, great planning, great execution – and as judges we wanted to see it recognised accordingly.”
Snapping up the coveted Chairperson’s Award is Carat UK for its work with NHS Blood and Transfusion.
Chairperson and Director, advertising platforms and data solutions, Auto Trader UK, Lara Izlan said: “This was a strong award entry and served a brilliant cause. Good approach to audience targeting, and I especially liked how the campaign results were focused on metrics that clearly matched the NHS’ objectives.”
Another big win came from The7stars. Having swept up with Best Mobile Campaign (with Waze), Best Branding Campaign, Most Effective Digital Media Buy, Best High Impact Campaign (with Waze), Most Effective Programmatic Media Partnership and Best Use of Creativity (with PHD), it’s no surprise that they were awarded Most Effective Media Agency. Judges said that The7stars continues to drive innovation with an agile creative approach, focused in and around the business and marketing needs of their clients.
Global head of agency partnerships, Adobe and judge, Nick Reid said: “Across a number of their entries, they looked to drive a truly personalised consumer experience, utilising both platforms and channels to deliver on client objectives.”
