Back for its second year, The Drum Digital Trading Awards APAC is now open for entries.
The judging panel will see experienced industry professionals from Oracle, Xaxis/Group M, Mindshare and RedDoorz, with more to follow.
This year the awards will focus on inspiring brand confidence in data-led advertising, moving the needle to encourage investment from both direct response and performance spend, as well as brand spend.
Keen to see data driven creativity from this year’s entrants, chief digital officer, APAC and MENA, Mindshare, Sanchit Sanga said: “The creative and content creation aspects are largely ignored in the programmatic / performance discussions but remains the most pivotal piece in the consumer experiences jigsaw. If some of the entries can highlight that aspect, it will fulfil a gaping hole that exists.”
According to Oracle’s CX and marketing strategy director, Wendy Hogan, The Drum awards are a great place to benchmark where you stand and collectively strive to continue to shine. She said: “Digital trading is an emerging field of specialisation with a relatively young base of practitioners. As the industry evolves so quickly, we rarely take the time to reflect on what works and what great looks like, making it challenge to know if you’re achieving excellence beyond your own organisation.”
In 2017, Entropia scooped up eight awards, including the Grand Prix, for three campaigns.
Entries are open to anyone in the digital media/trading ecosystem who can show that they offer a high value service or technology.
Vice president of Marketing, RedDoorz, Edward Wong says that without awards, there is no recognition. He explained: “Recognition is not about fame. It's about being recognized for doing the right thing and building a piece of good work. Acknowledgement means a bar or benchmark has been set. Which then becomes a measurement of standards that the industry should continue to strive and up the bar further. Without, an industry cannot achieve excellence. Awards and competition comes hand-in-hand.
The entry deadline is Tuesday 21 August, download your entry pack now and show the industry the outstanding work you have been producing.
Sponsors of the awards are: Integral Ad Science, Google and Bloomberg Media Group
