Gareth Collins has joined Mcgarrybowen UK from Leo Burnett UK and Fallon as chief executive with former Ogilvy London chief executive Charlie Rudd taking over the role vacated within the Publicis Groupe businesses in turn.
Collins has been tasked with driving growth alongside the existing leadership team of the Dentsu Aegis business. From next month, he will report directly to chief executive of Dentsu Aegis Network UK & Ireland, Euan Jarvie while working alongside managing director Charlie Hurrell and executive creative director Angus Macadam.
Collins was promoted to running both agencies in October 2017, having previously spent two years heading up Fallon. He has previously worked within BBDO, including AMV BBDO and Clemenger BBDO.
He takes over from Jason Gonsalves who left the agency last December.
Euan Jarvie described Collins as "a dynamic and progressive leader who is passionate about the power creativity can have to transform clients’ businesses.”
He added: "Combining this with an innate understanding of how to develop a united culture makes Gareth the perfect fit to lead Mcgarrybowen through its next stage of growth.”
Collins said of the business: “I’ve been struck by the commitment to creativity from both within the agency itself and the wider Dentsu Aegis Network.”
